Description   AMS Soil Augers are carefully hand made from all USA made materials.  Handles and extensions are made from 4130 chrome-moly steel.  Auger heads have tungsten carbide coated high carbon bits, stainless steel cylinder and a forged high carbon steel bail.  Designed and built for years of dependable use.  Regular Auger Kit includes a 3-1/4" regular head auger with 5/8" NC threaded fitting, two 3' extensions and a 16" cross handle.  Ideal for ordinary soil sampling or for accessing the sampling point when undisturbed samples need to be taken.  Shpg wt 8 lbs.
